Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a four-years Under Graduate course (as per Dhaka University course curriculum), plus a one-year internship (Professional training) programmed in Hospitals approved by BMDC (Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council). On successful completion, the University of Dhaka awards students with Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) certificate. |

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT |

The admission procedure in BDS Course is as per Govt. rules which is subject to change according to the Government admission policy for Medical and Dental students. An admission seeker must fulfill the following:- |

1. |
Pass S.S.C & H.S.C (having Physics, Chemistry and Biology) with a combined 8 GPA Score and a minimum of 3.5 GPA in either of the above examinations. ‘O’ and ‘A’ level students with comparable scores (with Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are eligible to apply. GPA in Biology in H.S.C should be minimum 3.5 (which is subject to change according to the Government admission policy for medical and dental students). |

The admission procedure consists of written and medical examinations. Successful candidates will have to appear before the College Selection Board for assessment of their motivation towards a dental career and their extra academic interests. Regarding admission, the decision of the College authority will be final. |
